About the Speaker
Scott "Intake" Kartvedt's journey began with a childhood dream ignited by the movie "Top Gun" in 1986. His unwavering determination led him from Pepperdine University to the skies as a naval aviator, where he mastered FA/18 Hornets and soared with the US Navy Blue Angels. Scott's leadership in VFA-83 earned accolades, including the 2009 Commander Naval Air Forces Aviation Battle Efficiency Award. He completed five combat deployments, totaling 91 missions, and executed 658 carrier-arrested landings across eleven aircraft carriers. As the inaugural Commanding Officer of the F-35C Stealth Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO ONE, he left an indelible mark before retiring honorably from the Navy.
Today, Scott's expertise shines as a Human Performance Instructor and the number 5 pilot for the Patriot Jet Team. He even embraced a stunt pilot role in "TOP GUN: Maverick" and supervised the aviation safety for “Mission Impossible 8”. Scott's enduring commitment to our Armed Forces is reflected in his commitment as a board member of the Blue Angels Foundation. He donates part of his earnings to help prevent veteran suicide.
