During the conversation, Hood outlined some of his most notable accomplishments throughout his tenure on the NCUA Board as his term it set to end this fall. He also provided his take on what challenges his successor may face in the coming years.
In addition, Hood discussed how credit unions can navigate a continuously uncertain economic environment, as well as an industry that is facing consolidation, stating his “main advice to credit unions is to do what they do best, and that is continuing to display the people helping people ethos.”
