NCUA Vice Chairman and lawmakers to speak on Caucus Day 2

NAFCU 2022 Congressional CaucusToday, starting at 9:00 a.m. Eastern, NAFCU will kick off day two of the 2022 Congressional Caucus. NCUA Vice Chairman Kyle S. Hauptman - who was featured in the third episode of NAFCU’s Credit Union Policy Podcast (CUPP), lawmakers, and industry leaders will take the stage to address attendees on a variety of credit union related issues.

Also of note, NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger will host a fireside chat with Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., where the two will discuss the future of financial services.  

Here’s the list of the other speakers on today’s agenda:  

·       NAFCU’s Chief Economist and Vice President of Research Curt Long;  

·       Former Director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center Bill R. Evanina;  

·       Rep. Ed Perlmutter, D-Colo., Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee’s Financial Institutions Subcommittee and a winner of NAFCU’s Credit Union Champion award; and  

·       Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn., Member of the House Financial Services Committee and also a winner of NAFCU’s Credit Union Champion award.  

NAFCU will also present their 2022 Annual Awards for outstanding industry achievements. Winners of the Annual Awards were announced on Aug. 22.
