NCUA, Inclusiv offering webinars to help CDFIs with emergency capital program, RRP
This week, Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI)-designated credit unions can benefit from two industry webinars designed to help CDFIs gain valuable insight into the Treasury Department's Emergency Capital investment Program and the CDFI Fund's Rapid Response Program (RRP).
Wednesday, the NCUA will host a webinar to provide insights into the Treasury Department’s Emergency Capital Investment Program, which was created by the Consolidated Appropriations Act to help community-based financial institutions support consumers and small businesses in low-income and underserved communities. CDFI and minority depository institution (MDI) credit unions are eligible to participate in the program.
The webinar will discuss the program’s eligibility and application requirements, the financial instrument and terms used for the investment, and whether credit unions can use the investment as secondary capital. Interested participants can register online here.
Thursday, Inclusiv is hosting a webinar intended to help credit unions prepare and apply to the CDFI Fund's RRP, set to open Feb. 25 with $1.25 billion in grants available. The webinar will provide updated information about the RRP opportunity and application process, then walk through the critical first steps that need to be completed before credit unions can apply for a grant from the CDFI Fund.
Additionally, it will offer insights on the registration process for SAM.gov and Grants.gov and the CDFI Fund’s AMIS site. Interested participants can register online here.
Both webinars are set to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern.
