Gary Grinnell announced as NAFCU’s 2022-2023 Board of Directors Chair
NAFCU Tuesday announced its 2022-2023 Board of Directors during its Annual Business Meeting at the association's headquarters in Arlington, Va. Gary Grinnell, President and CEO of Corning Credit Union, has been elected as NAFCU's board chair.
“I am honored to be elected to serve as the newest chair of NAFCU’s Board of Directors,” said Grinnell. “It is a privilege to work with NAFCU to advance the interests of an industry that puts members’ needs above all else. I look forward to working with the Board and NAFCU team to advocate for a regulatory and legislative environment that provides credit unions and their 131 million members the necessary tools for continued growth and success.”
NAFCU officers for 2022-2023 are:
- Gary Grinnell, chair and Eastern Region Director;
- Brian Schools, vice chair and Eastern Region Director, president and CEO of Chartway Federal Credit Union;
- Karen Harbin, treasurer and Director-at-large, president and CEO of Commonwealth Credit Union; and
- Lonnie Nicholson, secretary and Southern Region Director, president and CEO of EECU.
Additional board members include:
- Melanie Kennedy, Southern Region Director, president and CEO of Southwest Financial Federal Credit Union;
- Jim Kenyon, Director-at-large, president and CEO of Whitefish Credit Union;
- Frank Mancini, Director-at-large, president and CEO of Connex Credit Union;
- Karen Rosales, Director-at-large, president and CEO of Arlington Community Federal Credit Union;
- Stephanie Sherrodd, Western Region Director, president and CEO of Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union;
- Keith Sultemeier, Western Region Director, president and CEO of Kinecta Federal Credit Union; and
- Eli Vazquez, Director-at-large, CEO of Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union.
