NAFCU's Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee Conference concluded yesterday, closing out a 4-day event designed to provide credit union board and supervisory committee members with the most up-to-date information to understand current and future trends and challenges.

Attendees gained critical knowledge to protect and empower them in their credit union board or supervisory committee role during sessions on topics such as:

  • the latest from Capitol Hill;
  • best practices in board recruitment;
  • developing a growth mindset;
  • succession;
  • the latest Bank Secrecy Act regulatory updates;
  • auditing;
  • mergers and acquisitions; and
  • rising cybersecurity and fraud risks.

Attendees were also given the opportunity to earn the prestigious NAFCU Certified Volunteer Expert (NCVE) designation or recertify their existing NCVE designation by attending the conference.

The event was the third sold-out NAFCU conference of the year. View the full NAFCU 2023 conference lineup for more information about the many fantastic events remaining in throughout the year that are open for registration, including NAFCU’s Annual Conference: Engage 2023.
