Berger details NAFCU's recipe for membership growth
Since 2013, NAFCU's membership has risen 37 percent and its revenue has grown 31 percent – an impressive feat among today's trade associations. In an Associations Now feature, NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger detailed the association's recipe for success.
According to Berger, NAFCU held numerous one-on-one, meet-and-greets with credit union leaders that provided invaluable information as the association retooled and revamped itself to better provide for the needs of the credit union industry. To accomplish this, the association focused efforts on three key areas: federal advocacy, compliance assistance, and education and training programs.
In addition to remodeling its product and service offerings, NAFCU modernized its approach to member communications, employee evaluations and company culture. The association also placed a premium on improving staff communications.
Berger and the entire NAFCU team are proud to serve credit unions across the country, and the association looks forward to continuing to serve the industry well.
