Ascensus Debuts the Ascend Education Conference
Ascensus ramping up its final planning as it prepares for this fall.
With over a year of preparation and hard work, Ascensus is excited to soon kick-off the Ascend education conference beginning mid-September in Orlando, Florida. Ascend will offer a new type of learning interaction and provide real-world knowledge that attendees can use back at their organizations. And, like its predecessors Fall Forum and IRA Supertrain®, Ascend will continue to deliver professional, high-quality training that industry professionals expect from Ascensus. Ascend has more curriculum choices with over 40 courses covering IRAs, HSAs, employer-sponsored retirement plans, and thought provoking industry topics. Ascend also gives attendees the flexibility to choose courses based on their skill level and interests. Ascend attendees may obtain the Certified IRA Specialist (CIS) I or CIS II designations. Attendees also may earn continuing education credits for many additional industry designations.
New to Ascend is a free mobile app, which will give attendees quick access to all Ascend information. From managing an education schedule, accessing course material, and allowing attendees to interact with each other, the Ascend mobile app allows attendees to easily manage their time and personalize their Ascend experience. Registered attendees will receive instructions on how to download the mobile app before the start of the Ascend conference location that they’ve registered for.
“We are pleased to see the strong number of registrations to date with some sites already near capacity. Building upon the feedback from Fall Forum and Supertrain®, Ascend will deliver. We are looking forward to seeing the attendees in just over one month,” said Steve Christenson, Executive Vice President at Ascensus.
Limited space still is available at all three Ascend locations.

[02:27] Having a leader who can really communicate cyber risks and understand how ready that institution is to deal with cyber events is incredibly important. [05:36] We need to be talking about risk openly. We need to be documenting and really understanding what remediating risk looks like and how you do that strategically. [16:38] Governance, risk, compliance, and adherence to regulatory controls are all being looked at much more closely. You are also seeing other technology that is coming into the fold directly responsible for helping CISOs navigate those waters. [18:28] The reaction from the governing bodies is directly related to the needs of the position. They’re trying to help make sure that we are positioned in a way that gets us the most possibility of success, maturing our postures and protecting the institutions.
