Reporting Share Dividends On 1099-INT

Question - Some of our members are asking why they received a 1099-INT from us this year.  Since we are a credit union that pays dividends on our member share accounts, they are asking whether the credit union should issue IRS Form 1099-DIV, rather than 1099-INT, to the IRS, with informational copies sent to our members. Which is the right form?
