2013 CU Compliance GPS available now
March 13, 2013 - The 2013 edition of NAFCU's Credit Union Compliance GPS is now available for sale, and NAFCU is reminding credit unions that free copies will be given to attendeesat NAFCU's 2013 Regulatory Compliance School, held March 18-23 in National Harbor, Md.
The electronic manual, which spans nearly 500 pages, is the core text used in the instruction for credit union staff aspiring to be designated as NAFCU Certified Compliance Officers. It explains complex regulatory language in plain English and covers everything from the basic anatomy of a federal credit union to specific regulations from the NCUA, CFPB, and more.
The 2013 edition has been thoroughly reviewed by NAFCU's compliance team to reflect regulatory changes, along with additional improvements based on credit union feedback, including:
- an expanded section on the CFPB;
- user-friendly bookmarks, hyperlinks and pagination for easy navigation; and
- enhanced study tips for those preparing to take the NCCO exams.
NAFCU's Credit Union Compliance GPS serves as the learning manual for NAFCU's annual Regulatory Compliance School, which is held each March. NAFCU also offers a self-study program which allows anyone interested in obtaining a solid foundation of the compliance issues facing credit unions to take four exams required to earn the NCCO designation.
The manual is available for an affordable price - $399 for NAFCU member credit unions and $499 for nonmember credit unions. One purchase allows you to share the manual with your entire credit union. The manual can be ordered online.
