Passion

Written by Anthony Demangone

I attended the funeral of a friend recently. In a touching ceremony, person after person told stories about my friend's life and how he touched others.

Each story seemed to have a theme.

Passion.

My friend did everything with passion. He loved his family passionately. His career passionately. His friends passionately.

If he did anything, even if it was to argue with you, he did it with passion and fire in his eyes.

There is not enough passion on this Earth. Too many go through the motions. Too few get fired up about what they decide to do.

If we see passion in others, we must nurture it - nurturing that ember into a flame. Passion is infectious in glorious ways.

And we must show passion in what we do. Listening to the stories, it was so clear that passionate people can move mountains.

My friend certainly did. And I will miss him dearly.
