Here are a few things that caught my eye this week.  I hope you enjoy them.

• Must be nice.  JP Morgan is ramping up compliance and risk controls for next year. To the tune of $4 billion. Yes, that last word started with a "b."  5,000 FTEs.  I wonder if the largest banks see compliance complexity as a competitive advantage?  The more complex the rules, the harder it is for smaller competitors (credit unions!) to keep up.
• Seriously? This article highlights 10 ways you can use the iPhone SIRI function to be more productive. Number 8 blew my mind.  You can use SIRI to remind you about things, based on location.  "There are lots of situations you can use location-aware reminders: “Remind me to feed the fish when I get home,” or “Remind me to say happy birthday to my boss when I get to work.”
• What if surfing were your job?   A healthy dose of perspective from Seth Godin.
• Just how big is Africa? A pretty cool map.
