History and Fog; This Week's Reading PIle
Written by Anthony Demangone, Powered by NAFCU
I’m a huge fan of history. I’m from the school of thought that says if you want to understand today, you must understand the path that got us here.
Lately, I’ve been listening to American History Tellers. As a history fan, I sometimes believe I have a great grasp of the past. Well, I don’t. As I listen, I am reminded how little I really understand. Things that were black and white in my mind turn out to be gray. Or green. Maybe bright pink!
And that got me thinking. If that is true for history, it likely is true for things happening today. I need to remind myself that I likely don’t understand things I’m looking at right now. I need to seek to understand, ask questions and gather info before I judge things too quickly.
And with that, I’ll hop off my soap box. Enjoy this week’s reading pile.
