Virtual BSA School kicks off with ABCs of BSA, creating an effective BSA/AML compliance program, more

BSA SchoolNAFCU kicks off its Virtual BSA School today where attendees will gain a solid understanding of core Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) knowledge. During the first day, NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger will provide opening remarks to welcome all attendees.

Following these remarks, attendees will go over the ABCs of the BSA and the BSA’s five pillars to gain insights on what makes an effective BSA/anti-money laundering (AML) compliance program. Attendees will also examine specific risk categories in BSA/AML compliance programs and risk assessments.

In addition, attendees will learn the basics of the member/customer identification program (CIP), and review member/customer due diligence (CDD), specifically learning how to establish risk-based policies and procedures in relation to a credit union’s BSA/AML.

NAFCU’s Virtual BSA School is designed to help attendees master the fundamentals of BSA to fortify their credit union’s BSA/AML program. During the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to earn a prestigious NAFCU Certified Bank Secrecy Officer (NCBSO) designation
