NAFCU’s Lending Conference moves to virtual
As NAFCU receives feedback from members on our return to normalcy in the wake of the pandemic, we have made the decision to pivot this year’s Lending Conference to an entirely virtual event and cancel the in-person event, originally scheduled for Nov. 1-3 in Greenville, SC.
If you are already registered to attend this event virtually, you do not need to take any action at this time. If you registered to attend this event in-person and booked your hotel stay at the Hyatt Regency Greenville, the hotel will cancel all individual room reservations booked under NAFCU’s block.
For rooms booked through a separate booking agency or under a spouse or guest’s name, individuals will need to reach out to the hotel directly to confirm cancellation. Flight reservations must be canceled by the individual who originally booked the ticket.
“While we navigate this complex environment, we will continue to listen to your needs and create additional opportunities to provide you and your credit union with the education and training to stay on top of regulatory changes, trends, and strategies,” stated NAFCU Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Anthony Demangone.
If you have any questions or need assistance with your registration details, please reach out to Anthony Demangone at ademangone@nafcu.org, or call NAFCU’s Member Services team at 800.344.5580 or email info@nafcu.org.

[05:36] We need to be talking about risk openly. We need to be documenting and really understanding what remediating risk looks like and how you do that strategically. [16:38] Governance, risk, compliance, and adherence to regulatory controls are all being looked at much more closely.
