A little weekend reading...

Compiled by Anthony Demangone

I'm heading north to invade Hershey with Mandy and the Dynamic Duo this weekend. I plan on filling them up with chocolate and then having them tear through the amusement park rides.

What could go wrong?

On to this week's reading pile.

  • Columbia House (Remember them? 12 albums for a penny?) files for bankruptcy. (LA Times) Amazingly, they made $17 million last year.
  • Fingerprints replacing passwords. What could go wrong? Plenty. (Washington Post)
  • U.S. home prices rose in 93% of metro areas in 2nd quarter. (MarketWatch)
  • We're having more babies. (Calculated Risk) Not me, personally, by the way.
  • Want to change the world? Take something nearly everyone uses, and improve it. For instance...the shower head. (Tech Insider)
  • Mobile banking usage is about to explode. (Financial Brand)
  • Gas prices may soon plummet. (CNN Money)
  • Sending angry emails just makes you...angrier. (WSJ)
  • Does this make anyone else feel old? Netscape went public 20 years ago.(Quartz)
  • Just a reminder that security is a moving target. A hacker created a $30 gadget that unlocks many cars with keyless entry. (Tech Insider)
