A little weekend reading...
Compiled by Anthony Demangone
I'm rolling north this weekend to watch the Penn State/Army game. Penn State is favored to beat Army by quite a bit. But years ago, that would not have been the case. Army football is always a reminder of how things change in life. Â
I grew up in Towanda, Pennsylvania. Our high school's mascot is the "Black Knight."
Why is that? People like a winner. The school was formed back in the 1940s, when Army was a national football powerhouse. Army's mascot? Yep. You probably guessed it. The Army Black Knights.Â
Now, on to the reads.Â
- Vehicle sales are booming. (Calculated Risk)
- How coffee loves us back. (Harvard Gazette)
- The transformative potential of self-driving cars. (Vox)
- Photo of the week. High light. (National Geographic)
- How to hold people accountable without using authority. (Leadership Freak)
- "So" has gotten pushed to the front. (Stacey Hanke)
- Choose your impact. (Godin)
- The real reason we work. (Wharton)
- 54% of of US metro areas to have best sales since 2001. (World Property Journal)
Have a great weekend, everyone. Even you Black Knights fans!
