The NAFCU Journal: How to utilize data, prevent fraud
The May-June issue of NAFCU's award-winning magazine is now available online. This edition includes a feature on how credit unions are utilizing data and analytics to strategically drive business growth.
Another article, "Lowering the High Cost of Internal Fraud," explores how credit unions' policies, culture and training work together to improve fraud detection and prevention.
This edition of the bimonthly magazine includes the "2019 Annual Conference Exhibitor Directory," which highlights the exhibitors who attend the association's upcoming 52nd Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in New Orleans, and a welcome to the association's new members.
Also included in this edition are:
- "The Bottom Line: The Phillips Curve," explaining the Federal Reserve's changing views on inflation;
- "Washington and Industry Briefs," featuring NAFCU's engagement with top regulators including the CFPB, NCUA and FHFA to ensure that they are aware of credit unions' positions on key issues; and
- "Management Insight: Why Good Questions are Better Than Right Answers," by Francesca Gino, a professor of business administration at Harvard Business School, who gave a keynote speech during NAFCU's CEOs and Senior Executives Conference.
