NAFCU's Weekend Reading Pile
Compiled by Anthony Demangone, Powered by NAFCU
A good friend of mine passed away recently. I think it is one of life's unfortunate truths that we don't truly appreciate people or things until they are gone. Owen was one of those people.
Everything he touched, he made better. He threw everything he had into everything he did. I'm sure you know some people like him. They are gems to be treasured.
But the thing I loved most about Owen, is that he got you excited about helping others. He'd identify a problem, and then whip everyone up into a lather about doing something. He'd end his pitches with a few common lines.
"Brothers, you know why we're gonna help? Because we can!"
"Because we can."
This weekend, be like Owen.
