Research Tip from the New York Times

All the news that is fit to print, and some handy research tips as well.  Steve Van Beek located this gem from the New York Times.  This article highlights 10 simple Google search tips.   Tip number one is a dandy.
1. Use the âÂÂsite:â operator to limit searches to a particular site.  I use this one all the time, and itâÂÂs particularly handy because many siteâÂÂs built-in search tools donâÂÂt return the results youâÂÂre looking for (and some sites donâÂÂt even have a search feature). If IâÂÂm looking for WWD posts about GTD, for example, I could try this search: GTD site:webworkerdaily.com.
So, you could use this too to harness Google's search power on places such as:
- site:ncua.gov
- site:nafcu.orgÂ
- site:nafcucomplianceblog.typepad.comÂ
- Or your own website, to see if people are using terms such as interest, CD, or customer. Or search for $100,000 to see if you are up to date on insurane levels. Or, "no more than three" to see if you've incorporate recent changes to Regulation D.
