NCUA published its agenda for its August 29 Board Meeting.  On the table are:

  1. Proposed Rule – Part 704 of NCUA’s Rules and Regulations, Corporate Credit Unions.
  2. NCUA Guaranteed Notes Maintenance.
  3. Temporary Corporate Credit Union Stabilization Fund Assessment.

The Federal Communications Commission took President Obama's Executive Order regarding easing the regulatory burden seriously.  Yesterday, the FCC announced the removal of 83 outdated regulations.

A couple of weeks ago, NAFCU sent a letter to NCUA on its annual Regulatory Review process.  That letter can be found here.  I don't think NCUA will find 83 rules to remove or modify, but the letter highlights numerous opportunities to ease the regulatory burden on credit unions.   Â
