A little weekend reading...

Happy Friday!

The Olympics are upon us. I can still remember my first real memory of the Olympics. It was 1980, and I was with my mother shopping for shoes.  A bunch of people were standing around, talking about a hockey game. They had just heard a score on the radio - and the Americans were still in the running!

I really didn't understand what was happening. But I could tell that people were excited.

So, for the men and women wearing the red, white and blue - best of luck! And to you, here's the best of this week's reading pile.

  • Three traits to amplify your leadership. (Leadership Freak)
  • There are no experts on the future. (MattRidley)
  • The last French coal mine just closed. (Independent)
  • Yahoo lessons. (Ritholtz)
  • Of retirement age, but remaining in the work force. (NYT)
  • Vanguard is hurting Wall Street's revenue. In a big way. (Bloomberg)
  • America's aging workforce is a double-whammy. (WSJ)
  • A fascinating interview with a former federal agent who laundered money as a cover. (WSJ)
  • FitBit is trying to get into mobile payments. (USA Today)
  • Survey - companies lag on training directors. (WSJ)
  • The king of human error. (Vanity Fair)
  • Just because you are right. (Godin)

Have a wonderful weekend!
