Congressional Caucus - NAFCU Issue Briefs; Annual Privacy Disclosures

Written by Steve Van Beek

Today is the start of NAFCU's Congressional Caucus in Washington D.C. Credit union leaders from throughout the country will be hearing from (and talking to) their representatives and key players from the Obama Administration and the regulatory agencies.

What will they be talking about?

The links above are to NAFCU's Issue Briefs on these legislative issues. One suggestion is to pass these along to your credit union's senior managers as they are great summaries of the current issues being discussed on Capitol Hill. For additional legislative issues - be sure to check out NAFCU's Legislative page and monitor the NAFCU Today.

Bonus Idea: Include the Issue Briefs in your next "Board pack" and give a brief update at your credit union's next Board meeting.

*Privacy Notices. Just a quick note on the Annual Privacy Disclosure Notices. While H.R. 749 was passed by the House in March 2013, it still needs to pass the Senate and be signed by the President before it would take effect.

In short, until the Senate and President act - credit unions need to continue sending their annual privacy disclosures to members.
