Today: Virtual Risk Management Seminar kicks off with risk impacts, enterprise risk management, more

risk NAFCU's Virtual Risk Management Seminar kicks off today with a session on the impact of political and regulatory risk and enterprise risk management. In addition, attendees will discuss reputation risk and brand protection as digital and AI advancements move rapidly.

The seminar runs through Friday and is designed to equip credit unions with the skills and tools needed to better identify, assess, and manage risk at an enterprise level.

NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger will provide a welcome address and detailed outlook of the current state of financial services. Other topics on today's agenda include:

  • best practices in credit risk management;
  • managing risk through scenario planning; and
  • cybersecurity risk mitigation strategies.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to take the exam to earn the prestigious NAFCU Certified Risk Manager (NCRM) designation, to show that they understand credit union enterprise risk management (ERM) methodology and NCUA regulatory requirements for risk.
