Q: What led you to the credit union sector and to Lake Trust Credit Union?
A: I have been a credit union member my entire life, starting with ARMCO Credit Union (where my father worked) in Butler, Pa. After graduating from college, I spent more than six years at the NCUA getting tremendous experience. I then joined the Affinity Federal Credit Union team in New Jersey, which prepared me for an opportunity that developed at Lake Trust in 2011. At the time, Lake Trust was merely 1 year old and the product of a merger of two nearly equal $700 million credit unions. The attraction was the opportunity to join a team and build a brand-new company, almost like a startup — but with resources! It has been some of the most rewarding work that I could have ever imagined.
