You Still Need a Great Movie

Written by Anthony Demangone, Powered by NAFCU

Kate and Briggs just watched their first Harry Potter movie.

The evening reminded me how much some things have changed. And how much some things do not.

We watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The movie was released in 2001.  Three years before Facebook was founded.

At the end of the movie's trailer, you are urged to go to American Online and put in keyword: Harry Potter.

We didn't drive to a movie theater. We watched the movie in our own home. Via Amazon Prime Video.

Yep, things change.

How we watch movies. How we market them.

But at the end of the day, you still need a great movie.

A wonderful story. Creative directing. Wonderful acting. None of that has changed much.

As a parent, it was simply fantastic. Watching both of them get lost in the story was priceless.

How we consume things, market things, and find things will always change.

But at the end of the day, it is the thing that matters.Â
