A little weekend reading...

Compiled by Anthony Demangone

It's been a fun week. NAFCU staff has been visiting credit unions in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New York. We're hearing great stories from you - our members. As always, thanks for what you do.

Now, on to this week's reading pile.

  • A gem from Dan Rockwell - 6 questions managers need to keep asking. (Leadership Freak)
  • A snap-shot - architect billings show modest growth. (If they are billing, people are planning to build) (Calculated Risk)
  • SEC: Biggest risk to financial system is cyber security. (Reuters)
  • Are you in it for the short or long run? Answering that question clarifies quite a few issues. (Godin)
  • We're witnessing a nation falling apart before our eyes - Venezuela. (The Atlantic)
  • Donald Trump promises to dismantle Dodd-Frank. (Reuters)
  • The unknowns of China's debt "bomb." (Visual Capitalist)
  • The average 29-year old. (The Atlantic)
  • The architect behind the world's most famous television ad passed away this week. He came up with the idea in the early morning hours after being stranded in Shannon, Ireland due to flight problems. The ad, written for Coca-Cola, became a national sensation. It is a wonderful story about creativity and looking at something from a new angle. (Washington Post)
  • Take a look at Uber's first self-driving car. (Business Insider)
  • Four men with very different incomes open up about their finances. These are (some of) your members. (The Atlantic)
