A little weekend reading...

Written by Anthony Demangone

Another weekend is upon us, and we approach the "last" month of Summer. Enjoy your weekend, and by all means, please enjoy this week's reading pile.

  • The other side of the argument regarding whether America's manufacturing is in decline. (Strategy-Business)
  • Your best shot. (Godin)
  • The CFPB is diving into debt collection. (NAFCU Today)
  • Your innovation teams needs an attorney (or compliance officer). (HBR) HT to Mr. Van Beek.

Here's my upcoming speaking schedule...

  • I'll speak at NAFCU's Risk Management Seminar on August 8 in Denver. One of our newer conferences, this one is almost sold out.
  • On October 17-21, I'll speak a few times at our Management and Leadership Institute in Annapolis, MD. I love this conference - it really forces you think about who you want to be as a manager and a leader. And you can't beat Annapolis - one of my favorite cities.
  • Finally, I'll be speaking at our Compliance Seminar on October 25 in New Orleans. With TRID, HMDA, MLA, and the CFPB tip-toeing into collections, this conference is an important way to make sure you are on top of all the important issues.Â
