A little weekend reading...

Compiled by Anthony Demangone, Powered by NAFCU

It has been a great week. NAFCU picked up members. We completed a great annual conference in Hawaii.

But I'm looking ahead. I'm about to embark on a 10-day Ireland vacation with 21 other relatives. We have a van. And a plan. And we'll have a few pints. We have Irish cousins in Kilkenny who I haven't seen in years.

It should be a lovely, time. Just lovely. And the best part? Temperatures will be in the low '60s. Which means...sweater vests will be in play.

Now, on to this week's reading pile.

  • Millennials really want to buy homes. The problem? That pesky downpayment. (The Signal)
  • More than 20,000 small businesses have received a loan from Amazon. Yes, that Amazon. (Reuters)
  • Drama and who broke the media projector. (Leadership Freak)
  • The i-phone turns 10. A visual history. (The Verge) And a great piece on how the i-phone came to be. (The Verge)
  • Culture matters. Uber founder Travis Kalanick is out after shareholders revolt. (WaPost)
  • Saving is becoming a habit for Americans. (BankInnovation)
  • 13 times bosses mocked new technology and got it wrong. (BI)
  • I love Pittsburgh. These photos of the Steel City from the 1940s will blow your mind. (City Lab)
  • Google research on what it takes to be a good leader. (JohnSpence)
  • If you couldn't join us in Hawaii, here's Dan Berger's speech.  (NAFCU)

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. Thanks for what you do. It matters.
