People like "here." 

They don't necessarily dislike "there," but they withhold complete trust. People just don't know everything about "there." 

Just think about it...

"She's one of ours." "He's a local boy." "Your dinner was locally grown at Sussleman's Farm. It is just up the road." 

Who doesn't want to help their local community? People just like "here." 

That's what I think credit unions have going for us. We're all about "here." 

Your money? Stays here.

Decisions? Made here.

Employees? Live here.

Here matters. 

Here's the board at Services Center FCU in South Dakota - serving food for one of their three summer picnics. It doesn't get any more "here" than this.
