The news is sometimes difficult to follow.
Lower oil prices were great. Lower gas prices had to be good for America, right?
Well, not good for the oil rig workmen after oil rigs went offline.
Or the states that depend on oil revenue.Â
Or recycling efforts, for that matter.Â
Management and leading can be like that.Â
Something seems like a good idea. A no-brainer. But things that are good in one area can ripple the opposite direction quickly.Â
Your input can stifle innovation.
If you take too much responsibility, you can sap it from others.Â
Too much input turns into micro-managing.Â
It isn't easy. Â But you have to watch for those ripples. Otherwise, the good stuff you add is good...until it isn't.Â
