Thank You...

NAFCU's offices will be closed tomorrow and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving. Â With that in mind, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for letting NAFCU barge into your office each day through this blog. Â The interactions we've had with you over the years have been enlightening, entertaining, and enriching. Â
I hope you forgive me if there's no compliance information today. Â Rather, here's one of my favorite things: a list. Thanks go out to the following:
- To NAFCU, for letting me ramble on this blog with few restrictions. Â The freedom and flexibility I have makes the blog what it is. Â Many thanks, Fred and Dan.Â
- To my regulatory colleagues at NAFCU. Â You know their names: Tessema, Sarah, Steve, Olivia, Shari, Dillon, and Carrie. Â They are a fun-loving group of motivated people, and I mooch their good ideas whenever I can.Â
- To NAFCU's members. Â Without you, there'd be no blog.Â
- To Elizabeth Warren. Â It is hard to find material for a daily blog. You are making that easier, day by day.Â
- To the CFPB. Â (See #4.)
- To ESPN for running SportsCenter at all hours of the night. Â It helps to sooth the nerves of a father who is trying to sooth the nerves of his son.
- To Mr. Google and Ms. Internet. If you were real people, I'd buy you a beer. The amount of free information that is available today is almost overwhelming. Â
- To the compliance profession, which pushes me to think, organize my thoughts, and provide analysis every day. Â I may not know what tomorrow will bring, but I can tell you this: I will not be bored.
- To my Mom and Dad. Â And my mother's pecan pie. And my father's mashed potatoes.Â
- To Mandy, Kate and Briggs.
Now stop reading this, and do what you need to do, so you can get where you need to go. Â Enjoy your family, be safe, watch some football, and let's get back at it on Monday. Until then...thanks.
