On August 19, Robert Rutkowski, partner at Weltman, Weinburg & Reis, will be presenting a NAFCU webcast that will address some of the Dodd-Frank provisions including:

  • Creation of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB);
  • The CFPB's rulemaking and examination powers and how it impacts CUs;
  • The Federal Reserve's requirement to address debit card interchange fees; and
  • The impact of the bill on the mortgage industry including the foreclosure market.

The webcast will also discuss steps the credit unions can take to mitigate the continuing compliance burdens and ensure the credit union is properly positioned to meet members' current and future needs.
