New Head of NCUA's OCP; Matz Town Hall; NCUA Report; LCU 12-CU-12

This morning we'll just mention a couple short NCUA tidbits from the past week or so.  

Director of NCUA's Office of Consumer Protection.  NCUA announced Gail Laster as the new Director of NCUA's Office of Consumer Protection.  Laster has direct experience in consumer protection regulations - including helping to draft Dodd-Frank.  She will begin her new role on November 19th.  She replaces Kent Buckham who will be retiring at the end of 2012.  For additional details, check out NCUA's announcement or the NAFCU Today.

NCUA Letter on Call Report Changes.  NCUA also recently announced Letter to Credit Unions 12-CU-12 which highlights changes to the Call Report - including troubled-debt restructuring (TDR) reporting.  Be sure to pass this Letter along to the appropriate person(s) at your credit union.    Â
