NAFCU Member Call-In; Another NCUA Risk Alert
Next Wednesday, NAFCU will host the latest NAFCU Member Call-In, from 4 to 5 p.m., EST. This free service for NAFCU members is a great way for compliance professionals to get a holistic view of what is happening at NCUA, on Capitol Hill, and at other agencies.Â
Check to see if your credit union will take part. If not, visit this link for information on how you can sign up yourself. In my view, the more a compliance officer can know about Congressional and agency developments, the better they'll be at analyzing compliance issues.

NCUA has issued another Fraud Alert. This one addresses Vishing. Access it here. Vishing is a scam that utilizes social engineering and voice over internet protocol (VOIP). It is just one of a number of scams that might affect your members.Â
You'll have a hard time finding the Fraud Alert on NCUA's website. It doesn't appear to be posted yet. How did I get it? NCUA's excellent service, NCUA Express. That's how. Through the service, NCUA emails me when new guidance is published. I cannot adequately express in words how much I love this service. It is the Domino's of credit union guidance. Delicious. And delivered right to my door.Â
