A Look to 2013; December Compliance Monitor; Notice to GPS Users
Written by Steve Van Beek
I wanted to highlight a couple of useful resources as the year winds down. Â
Look Back at 2012. Â The first is a free webinar tomorrow by the Philadelphia Federal Reserve's Consumer Compliance Outlook:
Member Call-In.  On Thursday, December 6th, NAFCU will have its final Member Call-In.  The call is free to NAFCU members but you must register, which you can do at the link below:
CFPB Webcast. Â Additionally, NAFCU will be hosting a webcast on the CFPB on December 12th. Â Suzanne Garwood from Venable LLP will provide an overview of the CFPB's expected actions in 2013:
- NAFCU Webcast: Â CFPB Update - Credit Union Expectations for 2013

NAFCU's December Compliance Monitor. Â The latest issue of NAFCU's Compliance Monitor is now available (NAFCU log-in required). Â This issue includes articles on the CFPB's Potential Plans for 2013 as well as a detailed article on the proposed rule addressing Appraisals for Higher-Risk Mortgage Loans.
New: We've also added a new feature this month - our Pending Regulations Chart.  This chart highlights proposed rules issued by various regulatory agencies that have not yet been finalized.  The Pending Regulations Chart is attached to the back of our Compliance Calendar (it will also be included in each Compliance Monitor).  The Compliance Calendar is open to everyone - so take a look today.  Â

Notice to GPS Users.  There was a change to the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations last week which caused many links in the NAFCU Credit Union Compliance GPS to stop working.  We are aware of the issue and are working to update the links.  When we are finished, we'll send around an email to everyone who has purchased the GPS (or received the GPS at NAFCU's 2012 Regulatory Compliance School) with information on how to download an updated GPS with corrected links.  Thanks for your patience.
