HUD RESPA Webcast; Reflections on School
Posted by Anthony Demangone
After speaking with a ton of compliance officers last week, it is clear that we all can use all of the RESPA help we can get. Â Well, there's a relatively new webcast offered by HUD to clarify its new RESPA rules. Â (It looks like it was posted on March 18.) Access it here. Â (Look to the right, under "Watch the Webcast.")

Last week, NAFCU held a its annual Regulatory Compliance School. Â Here are some general thoughts and insights from the week.
- It was a great class, made up of CEOs, compliance officers, compliance veterans and newbies from all over the country.  Many thanks to Steve, Sarah and Shari for holding down the fort.  (And kudos to Steve and Sarah for their strong presentations.)
- Many attendees sat for their NCCO testing during the week.  This means that after sitting in classes from 9a.m. to 4 p.m., and studying until 10 or so, they sat down to test their knowledge each morning at 7:30 a.m.  That's dedication. Â
- If you have someone who sat for the exams, there is a good chance that they did not pass all five. Â It is very common for school attendees to have to take at least one test over again. Â Hey, I didn't pass all five the first time either.
