Consumer Compliance Outlook

Posted by Anthony Demangone

Today will be short and sweet, but you may have some homework to do.

The Fed recently released the most recent issue of its Consumer Compliance Outlook publication. The issue covers the following topics.

  • An Overview of the Risk-Based Pricing Implementing Regulations
  • Regulation Z's Payment Crediting Rules for Open-End Credit, Credit Cards, and Closed-End Mortgage Payments
  • Understanding Regulation DD's Advertising Requirements
  • Compliance Alert
  • Public Hearings on the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)
  • News From Washington: Regulatory Updates
  • On the Docket: Recent Federal Court Opinions
  • Setting the Record Straight
  • Regulatory Calendar
  • Calendar of Events

I always sing the praises of this publication.  It is written by Fed employees, so you can trust it.  But it is written in a very clear manner.  In an age of tight budgets, everyone needs to take advantage of free resources like this one.

Now, for your homework. If you haven't signed up to have new issues emailed to you when available, do it now.  You can sign up for those emails here.
