Many credit unions have asked whether Congress may take up Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-money laundering (AML) reforms as the year comes to a close. A few bills have circulated in the past year or so that have bipartisan support in Congress. In the House, two bills passed during this Congress and were added as an amendment to the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
