Prioritizing transparency to serve a collective membership
Over the last few weeks, we have had countless productive and positive conversations across our membership about transforming CUNA and NAFCU into America’s Credit Unions. Our goal is to ensure we prioritize transparency as we build a solid foundation should we move forward as one, collective membership.
Additionally, we know that transparency and accountability work hand in glove as we work together to serve American families and small businesses across the country. Many of you have this one question in mind: How and when will our membership dues change for America’s Credit Unions?
Yesterday NAFCU Chair Gary Grinnell and CUNA Chair Lisa Ginter provided more insight into member dues for the next few years, and emphasized that the creation of a clear and effective dues structure is a top priority. The proposed membership dues structure was built to help navigate the transition period and put America’s Credit Unions in the strongest position for launch – should you approve the merger. The breakdown of dues can be found on our website.
We know this isn’t the only question on your mind and understand that more questions arise every day as exciting things begin to take shape. We value your input and encourage you to provide feedback directly with our excellent team by visiting nafcu.org/merger.
Voting on the proposed merger begins next week and it is my hope that you participate in this process and trust this is what is right for the industry and the 137 million members you serve.
