Question – Under the Military Lending Act (MLA) final rule, the maximum Military Annual Percentage Rate (MAPR) is set at 36 percent. Given NCUA’s lending rule, our credit union does not make loans with an Annual Percentage Rate (APR) greater than 18 percent. Do we need to be concerned with exceeding the MAPR?
