Keeping up in an ever-changing world
Since the dawn of credit unions, boards of directors have occupied the first line of accountability and community goodwill.
However, in the wake of 9/11 and the 2007 financial crash, the duties of board volunteers have become weightier each year. Credit union veterans agree that today’s training regimens must bolster a board’s confidence and capabilities, equipping directors to navigate the fast-moving waters of regulation in order to keep their institutions afloat and take members on fulfilling financial journeys.
