NAFCU Risk Management Seminar kicks off in Denver

Credit union professionals from around the country have gathered for NAFCU's first-ever Risk Management Seminar, which begins today at the Grand Hyatt Denver.

Over the next couple of days, attendees will hear from leading credit union risk management professionals discuss the most serious risks threatening the industry and learn how to navigate them.

"There is a constant threat of internal and external risks facing credit unions, so now is the perfect time for industry professionals to gain a better understanding of how to properly manage them," said NAFCU Executive Vice President and COO Anthony Demangone.

Seminar speakers include experts from across the industry. Among today's highlights are a presentation from NCUA Director of Examination and Insurance Larry Fazio, "NCUA Expectations and the 7 Types of Risk," and a discussion with NCUA Region 4 Director Keith Morton. Also today, attendees will receive NAFCU's first annual Credit Union Risk Survey to fill out. Results will be unveiled on the final day of the conference.

NAFCU's Risk Management Seminar, sponsored by NAFCU Services Corporation, runs through Wednesday, Aug. 5. It is open to every credit union professional.
